It suddenly decided to go metric and If I try to change it, it says there is a communications error. My original app is now completely useless. Not really bothered about either of those. I still have all the journeys recorded and the only things now missing seem to be Remote Start and the find the car, flashing and beeping thing. I can't now recall what the Online Pack actually does and, since all mention of it has now disappeared, I can't find out!Ĭan anyone enlighten me of what this service does, and offer a view on whether it is worth renewing? This seems odd - you'd think JLR would want to flog their services to owners and make it easy to renew them. and re-opening the app did not bring up this message again, so I can't try again. But of course I haven't received any email. So I did this, only to get a message that "the VIN for the vehicle is missing, click link in email". Opening the older version of the app did bring up a message that "one of your services is about to expire. It's also missing from the list of services shown in the newer version of the mobile app. Well, the 1 year expiry date for the Online Pack on my XE is today and I note that that, when I login to the In Control website, this service has disappeared completely from the list of In Control services.
